Babia Góra - Mother of bad weather
Babia Góra – a rolling sea of forests, crowned by a solitary island of alpine meadows. A hiker will call it the Mother of Bad Weather, a neighbor will bow to it for shelter from storms. This region is a rich natural treasure, the result of centuries of struggle between the elements and the effects of human activity. Values forged with the contribution of foragers, shepherds, farmers, forester, and naturalists. The highest peak is Diablak, often called Babia Góra, like the entire massif. It is the highest peak in the Western Beskids and, outside the Tatra Mountains, the highest peak in Poland, the second highest in terms of prominence.
